Accessibility statement

JikOBook is meant to be usable by everyone — whatever your abilities and whatever technology you read with.

We aim for WCAG 2.2 level AA, the standard the German BFSG and the European Accessibility Act require of a service like this.

What is in place today: full keyboard navigation with a visible focus and a skip link, screen-reader names on every icon control, text direction and language marked per string (not per page), adjustable text size, and three colour themes whose contrast is checked automatically.

Honestly said: parts of the site are still under audit, and some third-party content — book covers, imported text — may lack full descriptions. Reported barriers are fixed with priority.
